Recall lookup by year, make and model

Lists every recall campaign NHTSA has on file for a model year, make and model — including vehicles outside the 2015–2027 pages on this site. Answers come live from NHTSA.

Your browser sends only the model year, make and model to NHTSA's recall API (api.nhtsa.gov). No VIN is needed or sent.

Model lists come from NHTSA

The make and model menus show the names NHTSA uses in its recall records for the selected year, so they may include separate entries such as hybrid or heavy-duty versions. If your vehicle appears under more than one name, check each one.

A model-year list is not a VIN check

A campaign often covers only vehicles built at certain plants or between certain dates. The list above shows every campaign that names the model year; it cannot show whether a particular vehicle is included or already repaired. For that, search the VIN at NHTSA.gov/recalls — see how VIN recall checks work.
